2 US marines killed in Afghanistan

Taliban fighters today launched a complex and sustained attack on the large U.S.-British military base in Southern Afghanistan where Britain's Prince Harry is based, killing two U.S. Marines and injuring several others, ABC News reports. Taliban fighters attacked the coalition base at Camp Bastion-Camp Leatherneck in Helmand Province just before midnight local time with small-arms fire and rocket attacks, according to U.S. officials.
A U.S. official said Prince Harry is safe and was not affected by the attack. The British Defense Ministry said today that Prince Harry had been deployed to Camp Bastion along with his Apache helicopter unit. It is Prince Harry's second deployment to Afghanistan.
A Taliban spokesman had said days after the announcement of Harry's deployment that they would try to kill him while he's in Helmand Province.
A Defense official said two Harrier fighter jets flown by U.S. Marines were damaged in the attack.

Marine unit en route to Sudan to secure US Embassy

A U.S. official says an elite Marine rapid response team is headed to Sudan in the wake of violence and protests against the embassy in Khartoum. The deployment comes as Sudanese police opened fire on protesters trying to climb the walls of the U.S. Embassy.
The Marine unit, known as a fleet antiterrorism security team, was sent in response to Friday's violence and as a precautionary measure, The move follows news that Marines arrived on the ground in Yemen to deal with the aftermath of another attack on the U.S. Embassy in the capital city of Sanaa. They arrived in addition to an earlier contingent dispatched to Tripoli.
One official also reportedly claimed that protesters in Sudan have been expelled. Witnesses said Sudanese police opened fire on those trying to climb the walls.
That is just a snapshot of the violent unrest playing out Friday, in the widest protests yet across the Muslim world. As Associated Press reports DHS official said that there is no specific, credible information at this time to indicate that the attacks have increased the threat of violent reaction in the U.S., but it will continue to identify potential threats and take appropriate measures.
Four Americans were killed in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Tuesday. A Marine unit was dispatched earlier in the week to Tripoli, to help fortify the U.S. Embassy there in the wake of the attack in the eastern part of the country.

Clinton slams anti-Islam video as 'disgusting'

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday condemned an amateur anti-Islam film which has sparked violent Middle East protests, stressing that the US government had nothing to do with it, hurriyet daily reported. "To us, to me, personally, this video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose, to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage," Clinton said. "But as I said yesterday, there is no justification, none at all, for responding to this video with violence." Protests have erupted for three days running outside US diplomatic missions in Egypt, Libya, Yemen and elsewhere by demonstrators who deem the low-budget movie "Innocence of Muslims" made in the United States as offensive to Islam. Note, US ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed when heavily-armed extremists launched a sustained four-hour attack on the US mission in the Libyan city of Benghazi late Tuesday. Condemning the violence, Clinton said at the launch of a strategic dialogue between the United States and Morocco that all "leaders in government, leaders in civil society or religious leaders must draw the line at violence." "Any responsible leader should be standing up now and drawing that line," she added. "It is especially wrong for violence to be directed against diplomatic missions. These are places whose very purpose is peaceful to promote better understanding across countries and cultures."

Obama says Egypt neither ally nor enemy

President Obama says the U.S. would no longer consider the Egyptian government an ally, “but we don’t consider them an enemy,” abcnews reports.
In an interview with the Spanish-language network Telemundo, less than 24 hours after violent mobs stormed American diplomatic outposts in Cairo and Benghazi, Libya, Obama said the new Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Egypt was still “trying to find its way.”
“They were democratically elected. I think we are going to have to see how they respond to this incident, to see how they respond to maintaining the peace treaty with Israel,” he said.
Egyptian security forces were slow to respond to attacks on the U.S. embassy Tuesday night when crowds infiltrated the compound and tore down the U.S. flag. The incident occurred shortly before an attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya left four Americans dead. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi did not offer a public response to either incident until 24 hours later.
“What we’ve seen is that in some cases, they’ve said the right things and taken the right steps. In others, how they’ve responded to other events may not be aligned with some of our interests, so I think it’s still a work in progress,” Obama told Telemundo. “But certainly in this situation what we’re going to expect is that they are responsive to our insistence that our embassy is protected that our personnel is protected. And if they take actions that indicate they are not taking those responsibilities like all countries do where we have embassies, I think that’s going to be a real big problem.”
Morsi told Obama “that Egypt would honor its obligation to ensure the safety of American personnel,” according to a statement released by the administration.
In his interview with Telemundo, Obama stopped short of calling for a reconsideration of the more than $1 billion in U.S. aid to Egypt. “The United States doesn’t have the option of withdrawing from the world. We’re the one indispensable nation. Countries around the world look to us for leadership, even countries where sometimes you experience protest,” he said.

How Much Water does our Organism Need?

Nutrition experts say that our organism needs 30 ml water for each kg, i.e. if your weight is 70 kg then your daily norms should be a little more than 2 liters . Tea, soup, orange and even beer are not even taken into account because these don’t satisfy the organism and don’t complete the lack of the water. Due to drinking a cup of water before eating you eat less, since water temporarily creates a feeling of satisfaction and it seems that you’ve eaten enough. Note, that people sometimes interpret their fatness as a result of drinking a lot of water. But water itself doesn’t contain any calories; it only contributes to the metabolism and digestion.

Interesting Facts about Coffee

According to the legend coffee was first noticed by an Ethiopian goat keeper, noticing how zealous the goats are becoming after eating coffee beans. At the beginning, African tribes were eating coffee, mixing coffee beans with oil. Coffee began to be widely used after Islam appeared, as alcoholic drinks, prohibited by religious rules, were substituted by coffee. In 1675 the King of England forced to close all cafes, justifying it with the fact that people are plotting against him. There are 50 subtypes of coffee all over the world, and only 2 of them are used for commercial purposes. 70% Of people drink Arabica coffee, which is distinguished by delicate taste and sharp aroma. And 30% prefer Robusta coffee which has a bit bitter taste and contains 50% more caffeine. In fact, coffee beans are bright red fruit seeds, and the taste of the fruit resembles the taste of an apricot. Coffee is psychotropic, and its abuse can cause hallucinations and even death.
In old Arabic culture wife could legally divorce from her husband only when the husband didn’t provide enough coffee for her. The first web-camera was used due to coffee. It was put in the Cambridge University for the employees to see from other parts of the building whether the coffee pot was full or not.
Before coffee was popular, people in the USA used to drink beer at breakfast.
After oil, coffee is the second widely circulated product in the world.

What Number does Your Panic Begin from?

Alen Simonyan writes on his Facebook: "I just read the speech of Firdus Zaqaryan, the chairman of the staff of Ministry of Diaspora, the president of the commission formulated for the issues concerning Syrian-Armenians, that the situation in Syria, is not in a condition, that Armenia should send special aircraft to move Syrian-Armenians to Armenia. And then adds, that today not only there is no need for that (but), it can cause unnecessary panic. So, in the last 16 months more than 20,000 people died, 14,000 of which were civilians. What number does your panic begin from? When seeing these numbers it becomes clear that you do “control” the situation. RA government is obliged to send aircraft and bring out all the Armenians and even just those who wish to. Can you imagine Syria making such an announcement concerning Armenians who want to immigrate. But taking into account that at this moment, I’m the president of the commission formulated concerning the issues of Syrian Armenians, I’m ready to pay for your ticket price. Go and see yourself whether there is any need for RA government to send aircraft and to take out our compatriots from here. Don’t worry, everything is ok in Syria.”
